Designed, developed and tested over a three year period, the Patent Pending 12-3-9 System is a three component system comprised of the 12-3-9 axle assembly, a closed-end fork/frame with corresponding 12-3-9 System adjuster assembly and a thru-axle hub. The 12-3-9 references the hand positions of a clock to provide the user with a visual reference for the positioning of the quick release lever during the three step install process. The system has been carefully designed so that it can only be installed one way — the correct way — with intuitive, generally accepted lever orientation. It features built-in go-no go sequences to ensure proper installation, preventing partial installation where the wheel could become loose.
